We are proud to support the Ride to Survive and Boomer's journey which not only will raise money for cancer treatment and research, but more importantly, it serves as an inspiration to all who have been touched by cancer to celebrate life." Walter Robinson Lance Armstrong Foundation With the heroic efforts of one man, Lance Armstrong, who not only survived cancer, but returned to capture 3 Tour de France victories in a row, Ride to Survive has found great inspiration in the work of the Lance Armstrong Foundation and is very pleased they are an affiliate organization. Their mission, to enhance the quality of life for those living with, through, and beyond cancer, is for Paul "Boomer" Throop, a calling card to his journey around the world. Ride To Survive is proud to call the Lance Armstrong Foundation an affiliate in our quest to reach not only those who are suffering but also those who have survived. BC Cancer Agency

This mission is achieved by a system that links prevention, early detection, diagnosis and treatment, supportive care, rehabilitation, palliative care, education, research, and support for community programs. This system links research and treatment, leading to new solutions for treating cancer. The Technology Development Office's mandate flows directly from the BCCA' s mission and goals. The Newfoundland Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation (NCTRF) The Newfoundland Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation (NCTRF) was established in 1971 as a provincial health care organization. It is a province-wide organization with a mandate to meet the needs of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians in cancer prevention, treatment and support, and research. The NCTRF operates the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Centre in St. John's and regional oncology programs throughout the province. China Cancer Research Foundation Interlink Community Cancer Nurses Amazonki The Amazons according to the ancient Greek myths were women-warriors fighting for their freedom against conquerors. They removed one of their breasts to make archery easier & more convenient. They were famous for their beauty, strength of spiirit & staunchness. Modern Amazonss is a voluntary organization of women (located in the Ukraine) united by common experience. All of them were operated on for breast CANCER. They lived through the hard times, have overcome their fears & now are willing to help other women to try to live a full life. They tirelessly fight for the health & quality of life of cancer patients and survivors. The Amazons is a quest to find answers to such questions as: What must I know? What must I do?
